Weary Banker & Bookworm
In my weekly newsletter last Friday was a note about an edition of Law and Order to be screened on May 8th. The 'murder mystery' has geocaching as its main theme. I have just looked at the progs for next Sunday and can't find any reference to this. Is it a regional showing that we can't get downhere in the south west? Anyone else found it? Edited May 2, 2005 by Weary Banker & Bookworm Quote Link to comment

dunos
In other words it isn't a UK thing then? Quote Link to comment
sTeamTraen
In other words it isn't a UK thing then? It's an American show, and it will run in the States on the date advertised. Dates for other countries are up to whoever shows it (C4 or "five" in the UK, I think). Quote Link to comment
Lost in Space
In other words it isn't a UK thing then? If you are familiar with BitTorrent technology then you can "obtain" the episode the following day...... Quote Link to comment
The Hokesters
So is it being shown in the US on 8th May? Quote Link to comment
Kelsborrow Wayfinders
Episode: The Unblinking Eye, A young actor is wounded and his fiancee killed, leading detectives to look into a high-tech treasure-hunting came called geocaching. I reckon she will have been killed in an unseemly struggle for an FTF. Quote Link to comment
CuplaKiwis
Legal debates aside, I'm sure it will available as a .torrent pretty quickly after it has aired... edit - ah, just read up a little Edited May 3, 2005 by CuplaKiwis Quote Link to comment
Lost in Space
Just seen it, and it is nothing to go out of one's way to get a copy of........... Quote Link to comment
sTeamTraen
It's been extensively discussed - including, apparently, in real time during the programme - here. Quote Link to comment
Yorkypudding
Hi, I was wondering if the programme would be aired in the US. I couldnt find anything written about it here. I often watch Law and Order on LIVING tv just after Crime Scene Investigation. I am sure it will soon be repeated many times over so we will all see it sometime soon. I hope this episode dosnt show a negative aspect towards Geocaching. Quote Link to comment
DomHeknows
i didn't think much of it, and spent the first 2 mins (before the advert break) wondering if i was watching the right episode. Apart from hiding a body near a cache in newyork called footbridge (i checked and none exists) and burying the cache and the suspect for a murderer being a geocacher I'm sure it was a good advert for geocaching (hey - any news is good news?) +walkergeoff and wife
Hmmm. I have had this great idea for an up-to-date Agatha Christie novel, along the lines of, I think it was, a Hercule Poirot story where the one who dun it sent clues through the post, taunting the police. (Anyone remember the title?). The idea is to have an offset cache with very difficult clues which lead to the whereabouts of the body. Any budding authors out there? Quote Link to comment
housefamily
Anyone else see this on Friday? It was ok, but not as exciting as I thought it might be... Quote Link to comment
Ashaaria
In other words it isn't a UK thing then? Nope it was on in the UK as i saw it, not as bigger focus on caching that i was hoping for though. Quote Link to comment
