+Team Maddie UK
Looks like a happy crowd Hopefully you all had as good a time as we did at the St. Georges day do. Hope to meet you all when we do the ferry job later in the year. I'm confused by the back row though, there seems to be one short unless The Windsockers are in fact one person Regards, Martin Quote Link to comment
+wildlifewriter
They're only looking happy because they hadn't started the "Hardest Hillwalk in Ireland" at that time. There's some tough guys in there... ... and a couple of VERY tough young ladies. -Wlw Quote Link to comment
+Team Maddie UK
They're only looking happy because they hadn't started the "Hardest Hillwalk in Ireland" at that time. Is that a cache name? I tried to find it with no success. Having seen some of the peaks in Donegal I would have thought that there must be some pretty tough walks in that county. Or have I comitted a faux pas and I'm in the wrong end Regards, Martin Quote Link to comment

I tried to find it with no success. I apologise for the misleading reference. The cache is question is GCNBVD Or, to put it another way... The reason that this particular hike is so hyped-up is: once you get onto the high ground, there's no way off it. If someone fades, they go back by the same route, or they go on to the end, or they lie down and die. Those are the only options. I didn't do the walk myself - not being dumb enough... -Wlw. +klaus23
there seems to be one short unless The Windsockers are in fact one person Sorry Martin, that is, in fact, one of The Windsockers (Steve). All others identified by Mrs/Ms/Jr are not registered cachers but family members or spouses of said geocachers. Quote Link to comment
+Team Maddie UK
Thanks for that Klaus, It was nice to be able to put faces to some of the names. That hike looks like a veritable nightmare. Lots of fun probably but I think maybe a wee bit beyond my capabilities these days. Sorry to hear that the cache had been muggled after only a month. That's really bad luck considering its such a difficult location to get to. Regards, Martin Quote Link to comment
+klaus23
It was really odd, but the most rational explaination is that a hillwalker thought it was litter. In any case, the cache has been relocated away from the summit, making the walk even harder Quote Link to comment
