WH
I awoke this AM to the following message. Geocaching.com is down for maintenanceWe're in the process of upgrading our database servers. This should improve the speed of the web site. Thanks for your patience In the meantime, you can visit the Groundspeak forums or check out the Groundspeak store. Both of these web sites do not rely on the Geocaching database. Get well soon you silly frog Quote Link to comment
+Mopar
On Tuesday April 26 at 11:00 PM PDT (GMT -7), we will be performing some hardware upgrades to our primary database server as well as installing a second read-only database server. This work is anticipated to take 2-3 hours, and during this time, Geocaching.com and all related services except for the forums will be offline. Looks like they ran into problems? +cache_test_dummies
Lady M: What sort of trouble? Reg: One on't cross beams gone owt askew on treddle. Lady M: Pardon? Reg: One on't cross beams gone owt askew on treddle. Lady M: I don't understand what you're saying. Reg: (slightly irritatedly and with exaggeratedly clear accent) One of the cross beams has gone out of skew on the treadle. Lady M: Well, what on earth does that mean? Reg: *I* don't know! - Mr. Irish just told me to come in here and say that there was trouble at the mill, that's all - I didn't expect a kind of Spanish Inquisition! Quote Link to comment
+Divine
Looks like they ran into problems? So it seems. An update on the situation would be nice. Quote Link to comment
+cudlecub
That's a welcome but unwelcome message. Hopefully things will be better on the weekends when I'm trying to log finds or hides. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
Signal is feeling better! Let's hope he stays fast. Pump him with caffeine! Quote Link to comment
bug and snake
If you are still seeing the sick frog try hitting the re-set/re-load button on yer browser. Mine was hung up on the image till I did that..... (?) Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
It's going to be a tough morning for the FTF crew! That's what happened to me last night. Two caches showed up and I wanted to see if I could be FTF . . . but I couldn't get the latest info . . . Since it would have been about a 40-mile roundtrip, I didn't want to head out if someone else had already logged it . . . Quote Link to comment
WH
Signal is feeling better! Let's hope he stays fast. Pump him with caffeine! I thought I read somewhere that signal was a her. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
Well, Signal is a he right now. It was part of the hardware upgrade. Quote Link to comment
+VegasCacheHounds
So, the antenna is now in a different spot? Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I would like to respond by saying that Signal is bipolar, but that would get me in trouble with Hydee, so I won't go there. Quote Link to comment
+sept1c_tank
Signal is, and always was, a she. And don't you forget it! Quote Link to comment

Keystone
First, here is definitive proof of Signal's gender. (Well, not photos or anything, but pronouns are proof too.) Second, I would like to say that I really enjoyed being a forum moderator here for the past 20 months. It was a fun ride while it lasted, and I will miss the job very much. Quote Link to comment
WH
So, at what address will you be accepting resume's to fill Keystone's position? Quote Link to comment
+sept1c_tank
First, here is definitive proof of Signal's gender. (Well, not photos or anything, but pronouns are proof too.)... That's what they want you to believe. But a very reputable writer, close to the horse's mouth, tells this story. Quote Link to comment
bug and snake
Offered with no comment..... Quote Link to comment
+Corp Of Discovery
Maybe Signals a hermaphrodite cross-dresser...... Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
Offered with no comment..... Nice to know there is a scientific explanation for the discrepancy. Quote Link to comment
+sept1c_tank
Does this look like a guy to you? An official image taken from the CITO website.) Quote Link to comment
+sept1c_tank
Actually, the image above may include even more evidence that Signal is a she. If you examine the url of the image, it is titled "signal_laying." One definition of lay is: "to bring forth and deposit (an egg)." Quote Link to comment
+Mopar
Gee, I sure hope this isn't related! Quote Link to comment
+Marietta Moose
Signal is feeling better! Let's hope he stays fast. Pump him with caffeine! KA, I'd like to suggest that Jeremy just might be a bit perturbed if one decides to give the server a good shot of coffee to pump Signal with a shot a caffine. I know for a fact that coffee and keyboards don't get along at all. Now, sending Jeremy a box of chocolates will provide Signal's boss with the shot of caffine and just might contribute to a feeling of warmth and being loved which seems to do wonders to help solve some problems.
