Difficulty/Terrian

A measure of how hard it is to find the cache. More stars - the harder it is.

Difficulty = how hard you need to look when you reach the coordinates. 1=quick 5=a couple of hours or more or multiple trips

Terrian = one is hanidcap wheelchair accessible, five is you need specialized equipment and/or training to get there

Tends to be somewhat of a logrithmic scale for both.

Hope this helps.

Size is represented by the series of boxes, one of which will be filled in, ranging from smallest (microcache) on the left, to large and unknown and virtual on the right.

D/T refers to difficulty and terrain ratings -- the number of stars from 1 to 5. These are based on the Geocache Rating System. A one-star terrain cache is handicapped accessible while a five-star requires special equipment like scuba gear or technical climbing gear. A one-star difficulty cache can be found in plain sight, while a five-star cache is so deviously hidden that it may take hours of puzzle solving and/or multiple searches at the cache site to locate it.
