+LandPirate
I need a new GPS due to an unfortunate accident (dropping it in the Grand Canyon) and was wondering if the Rino 130 would be the GPS for me. Quote Link to comment

+Rubberhead
If you are planning to drop it in the Grand Canyon again, you should go for something cheaper. Edited April 24, 2005 by Rubberhead Quote Link to comment

nchmura
Well, its not the 130, but I have a 110 and really like it. The only thing i could say about it so far is that the overall menu-ing scheme of it can be somewhat overwhelming (theres a lot going on in there!) But i do love it. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Ita a fine GPS, but unless you know other people who have one, I don't see the point. Quote Link to comment
+KC0GRN
I own a 130, and find it to be a very reliable and useable gps. Sure, you need someone else with a rino (any of the models) to transmit coordinates, but there are other very useful features you won't find on other GPSrs. The weather radio comes in handy sometimes, and you can receive severe weather alerts, which is handy if you're in the backwoods. One time, I was out in a large park and it went off, brought up the local weather channel, which gave me a summary of what was coming in. Of course you can still use the FRS radio with other FRS radios, so you don't have to carry a seperate piece of equipment if you're travelling with a group. The only drawback I've seen is that it doesn't support auto-routing, but if you didn't have that on your old GPS, you won't miss it. It's really only used to give you street directions anyway. +Yak Man & Yak Girl
I had 2 120's and would have to say that the gpsr part worked fine but the screen was too small for me, the radio part stunk, and the interface part (menu's and the like) was the worst. I just gave them away. I would go with a good GPSr and then look for good radios. Quote Link to comment
A^2
I just gave them away. Please let me know if you are unsatisfied with any of your other GPS's. I can dispose of them appropriately. Quote Link to comment
