+nickelcachers
Has anyone has experience with OCAD? I have just downloaded version 6 of OCAD software which is now freeware, but I don't have much experience using this type of software. I am trying to create a map of our schoolyard and surrounding forest for orienteering and geocaching from aerial photos, 1:50000 topo maps and school division grounds maps. Has anyone used this software who can help me out? Thanks Edited April 20, 2005 by nickelcachers Quote Link to comment
+wretsub
contact the group www.ntoa.com there are several people there that use that program all the time. They are always creating maps. Look up Peter Snell... great source and is an expert in this program.. Not sure what part of the country you live, but if you are Dallas... This would be the group to help you out... +PDOP's
I'm not familiar with OCAD but for another free option using Canadian Toporama maps have a look here. The Trackmaker program mentined will also allow you to import maps and photos and georeference them. Quote Link to comment

Got some documentation, but in french, on http://cdco45.chez-alice.fr/ Search for "Orienteering" on the net. Map commission of the IOF will have lots af documents for you. Bye...
