marty621 Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Can anyone supply me with a link to some new color aerial photos available online , they were posted recently, but I failed to bookmark the site. Quote
+Pasha Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Google Maps will provide them (click the "Satellite" link in the upper right.) There's a few others but I don't have links handy since I use Google and/or USAPhotoMaps. Quote
+nikcap Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 (edited) Your tax dollars at work: NASA World Wind Topo, Aerial and Satellite maps with place names and some other bells and whistles thrown in. The free google images are nice, but they seem a little distorted. But even better from the Google labs you can find Keyhole Edited April 20, 2005 by ekitt10 Quote
+junglehair Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 New York has a great map viewer for color aerial imagery at this site: http://www1.nysgis.state.ny.us/MainMap.cfm The aerial imagery appears when you zoom in to 1.0 miles or less. Quote
+nikcap Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 New Jersey also has a online catalog of maps. All type of stuff. New Jersey Geographic Information Network the site is not that intuitive, and the search function in pretty poor. The browse function works but it's tedious. This is not a beginers site or a click and point user friendly resource. If you know what your looking for you can get it quickly and there is a ton of information there. For most of the aerial maps you'll need Mr.Sid or Arc View, and the resolution is incredible. Quote
+trowel32 Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 (edited) The NJDEP's IMAP site link is pretty good. You can turn various layers on and off (roads, waterways, hazmat sites, etc...) I think the aerials are from 2002. The resolution is better than the google maps (and doesn't have that crazy watermark) Edited April 21, 2005 by trowel32 Quote
+macatac1961 Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 lostoutdoors.com Good aerials but they're not color. You can copy and paste the numbers right from the cache page. Quote
