Buying A Used Garmin Etrex Vista

I just bought a used (although only a month old) Etrex Vista. I can't find anywhere in the manual any clues on how to change the owner information screen. I want it to have my name and information instead of the previuos owners stuff. Any ideas?

It should be like the Legend. Go to the Main Menu Page and move to the "page looking"

icon at the top of the screen. Press the click stick and owner information selection will appear. You can clear out the old info by doing the same thing on the next screen or you can edit the existing info.

Main Menu Then at the top click the alternative box just to the left of the X box for owner info.

When I first purchased a Vista, I don't believe the firmware supported a user screen. I know that the current release does. So, if based on the directions given in the previous post you can't locate the screen, then first update your firmware and then navigate to the owner screen.

When I first got my vista I used a program to edit the firmware, which allowed the changing of any of the startup screens. It is discussed at Etrex
