jcar Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 For those who are not familiar with the area (or those lacking a fancy model GPS ,with mapping, like me) you should turn off West Mukilteo Blvd onto Olympic Blvd at: N 47 57.605 W122 14.620 You will see the upper part of Howarth Park in front of you, continue on down the road to the lower parking where the night cache starts. Don't forget about Bling, Bling in the same park. Quote
Anonymous' Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 We'll be at Life's a Beach at 2:30 sharp. My dad doesn't want to go caching for 6 hours so we'll come home and probably come out for the night cache. Quote
Anonymous' Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Got back from Life's a Beach, took us an hour and a half to find. Here's some pics Grossi took: We were searching in this one, the dude in the back is my dad. (from left to right) LandRover, MarcusArelius, jcar, AnalogDog, and me. Grossi took the photo. Quote
Anonymous' Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 That was a lot of fun tonight. Nice to meet you all. Ray was wearing a kilt tonight. Quote
Allanon Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 A great time was had by all...and we even had dessert...Jcar provided RootBeer Floats for everyone! I really wonder what the Ranger thought when he drove through and we all headed for the cars... I'm now thinking hard about how to do a night cache up here in Monroe...Hmmmmm... Until the next Night Cache adventure in North Bend... Quote
Square Bear Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Had a great time tonight. Thanks Jcar for the work on the cache and for the Root Beer Floats. Quote
jcar Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Thanks also need to go to Right Wing Wacko for setting the date, and a big thanks to 4chin Seeker for originally placing the cache. (I've only added a couple tacks.) Quote
LandRover Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Thanks to all. It's alway way more fun to cache in a group than by yourself. Oh yeah "Night Caching" really does ROCK!! See ya in North Bend. Quote
LittleBlue Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Ok- I heard that Cruiser Guy was setting up another North Bend night cache- that true? Just wondering how far out we're scheduling the NB night cache trip. Pretty soon it'll be dark at 10! Quote
AndrewRJ Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 I am setting one up south of Issaquah. No ETA an when it will be done though. Quote
evergreenhiker! Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 very cool! Glad to hear more night boxes are being put out. I'll see if I can add another night hike to the area's pool of night hides. Quote
