How To Make A Map Of Your Finds

I noticed a certain cacher has a cool little map on his info page showing the location of his finds. It looks a little like a Buxley type map. Does anybody know how to do this? I have always wanted to do something similar.

To save others some time, don't look in the downloads section of keenpeople for the "GPX Map Tool" file (like I just did). It's actually a feature for registered users. Registration is free.

I just post each find to Microsoft Streets and Trips for my own piece of mind.

Do a Pocket Query. Have it search for all caches you've found. When it sends you the GPX file, save it to your hard drive. Go to the GPX Map Tool link above, and browse for the file you just saved. Et voila, your map is ready for saving.

If your gpx file is too large, the GPX Map Tool may have a hard time reading it. I found if you open your gpx file with EasyGPS and save it, the unneeded info is removed, the file is much smaller, and the GPX Map Tool will create the map much quicker.

I've been doing using a similar tool written by a cacher friend of mine, thought it takes a bit more work on my end.

 

The upside is I can differentiate between found and hidden caches, mark my home if I wish and even include benchmarks. It there any way to allow for these expanded options with the "Map Tool"?
