Tahosa and Sons
To those that have Nat. Geo TOPO, they now have the capabilites of 3d, 3d flyover, and some other new features. I think its neat to flyover the trail I have just done, and see a birds eye view of where my cache is. Quote Link to comment

+Greymane
This is nothing new, I have been doing this with Memory-Map Navigator for a year now. Nat Geo is always behind the curve. Quote Link to comment
+Klatch
It's not very new for NG TOPO! either, but it is fun! On the downside, I have found the USB connection to be shaky. Some track upload modes and "show current gps position" don't work for me with my 76CS in USB. The serial interface works well. I have been back and forth with their technical support people for months with no progress. Quote Link to comment
+GixxerUT
the directory on 4.0 changes to c:/program files/topo that is important if you want to download the cd files to the hard drive the tracking from my Legend works great on my laptop, via an adaptor from serial to USB Quote Link to comment
+c88m
If you are having problems with your usb interface you need to get the streets upgrade to use this ($20) . I had this problem with my GPSMAP 60 and couldn't figure out why , tech told me that this upgrade (which also gives you updated streets for the topo) is the answer , they were right no problems anymore . I will post later with the exact name of the product . NG Streets and 3D view Edit : added name and link Edited March 24, 2005 by c88m Quote Link to comment
+Klatch
I have done the upgrade and most functions work flawlessly with USB. As I said, I found some that do not. Quote Link to comment
+Alan2
I'd prefer if they added waypoint transfer to their Pocket Topo edition. Quote Link to comment
