How Do You Search Other Countries?

We are going on a cruise to the virgin islands and the bahamas this summer. I have tried to search for caches near the ports, but do I have to pull up every one to see if it is on the same island? For ex., the bahamas has several islands and I am only interested in those on Nassau. How do I do this?

Obtain the LAT/LONG of the island you plan to visit, then search on that point in the database for nearest caches ....

As for determining which island a cache is on, if I were doing it, I would perform my search based on a central location in the island, then import it into my copy of Garmin Worldmap. This would provide a pictorial view of the locations and allow for the selection of caches of interest. For instance the lat/long for Nassau is 25 03.317 -77 20.694

I am considering purchasing Mapsource Worldmap for an upcoming trip. Can you give me some insight to the detail of the maps? The Garmin website's "sample" is pretty unstable, and I am not able to zoom in or pan very well without getting a black screen. Any insight would be appreciated.

On some of the islands it shows main roads and towns. On others it shows no roads, just towns. It does not show streets.

My primary hunting grounds will be Japan, Australia, Thailand, Philippines, Okinawa and Singapore. Does anyone know what the maps look for those areas?
