mountainborn
What do I do with a geocoin ? I liked it, I picked it up. Now I would like to pass it on. So, where can I do that ? A Hillbilly newbie needs to know. Edited March 12, 2005 by mountainborn Quote Link to comment
welch
Depends what kind of geocoin it is. Some are tracked here on gc.com (like USA geocoins). Others can only be logged at their specific sites (California coins) or sites they have agreements with (AGA coins). Still others are not trackable at all. Quote Link to comment
mountainborn
This is a USA Geocoin #3A from Lisbon Maine. The number on the coin is (removed by moderator). I have looked for a place to log it on geocaching, com, but must have overlooked it. Is it listed in a manner I just do not recognise ? Edited March 13, 2005 by Eartha Quote Link to comment
jamrasc
Go to the main geocaching.com page and click on track travel bugs. On the next page type in the coins number on the upper right side of the page where it says to. That will pull up the coins webpage where you can log it. Quote Link to comment
pghlooking
on the welcome page of GC.com, to the top left there is a list of destinations there. The fourth one down says "track travel bugs". Click here then on the top left of the next page there is a spot to enter the number of the coin. This will take you to the coins page. When there select that you have retreived it from Winding Stairs and you will walk through the log at that point. Quote Link to comment
Eartha
You can find some answers here, since they are tracked the same way as travel bugs. You need to grab it from the cache you found it in, to put it into your inventory. Then, when you place it into another cache, and you log that cache, there is a drop down down menu at the bottom of the log page where you can highlight it to drop it off with the log. Please let us know how it goes, or if you have any more questions. Quote Link to comment

mountainborn
Thanks for the advice, I guess that there are several more "newbie" mistakes that I will blunder thru. Every one has been so helpful and tollerant of this ol' hillbilly that is trying to learn this exciting sport. I hope to see you all out on the trail ! Quote Link to comment
