Bronson Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 We are from the States and are taking a trip to New Zealand in about two weeks. We are flying into Christchurch and renting a car. Our route will be from there to Timaru, down to Queenstown, and then up the west coast to Greymouth. From there, we are taking the train back to Christchurch. We'll be there for two weeks. We would like to do some geocaching along the way. Any suggestions/advice for good places to go that incorporate some good hikes along the way? We are new at this but we think this is a lot of fun. Also, have any suggestions for some good sites along the way? Quote
da_snoop Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Hi Bronson, As I'm in the North Island I'm not that familiar with the caches down in the South Island. There have been topics (here and here for example) in the NZ Recreational GPS forums. Perhaps it might be worth starting a new topic there? Quote
Alorria Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Hi There Try looking up my brother moneydork and dropping him an email. he lives on the west coast, and works in greymouth, and is crazy on geocacheing. Also our parents live in timaru which you will be visiting. If you make it up to Wellington, drop me an email. Alorria Quote
