+Dixie's Crew
Do I need to install Garmin's software for my new 60C before using GSAK? Quote Link to comment
+chuck401
What Garmin software are you asking about? As a premium member you can download GPX or LOC files to your computer than to the GPSr. Quote Link to comment
+Dixie's Crew
The CDrom that came with the unit. The USB cable has a tag that says I better install the software before connecting the cable, but I also know that some USB devices work fine without the mfr's software. Quote Link to comment
+mrking
Put the CD into the drive but stop it if it auto runs. plug in usb cable and then plugin GPSr. Turn on GPSr and wait for windows to recognize it, eventually it will come up with the "install drivers" window. Highlight "allow windows to find drivers" and press ok. It will find th garmin CD and pull off just the drivers for it. After that you should be good to go. You don't have to install the waypoint manager if you do not want to. Quote Link to comment
