+flper
I completed my first Cache today. It was an easy one.. About 10 miles from my house. There was about 6 inches of snow on the ground but found the cache pretty easy. It was about 18 degrees out and was snowing. I am hooked. My new Legend led me to within 10 feet of the treasure and then it was a matter of finding it under the snow. I passed up a travel bug and took a keychain instead. We are supposed to get lots of snow this week and didn't know if I would get out to place the bug somewhere else. Thanks chai_pa (GCG0Z7), great cache.... John "flper" Quote Link to comment

+chalcedonyroselv
This made me go look up my first cache. Don't think it was the first found......just the first logged. Is memorable because we also found a "Blair Witch" type item on the way. Sticks tied together, in a human shape, clothed in fabric with what appeared to be blood stains...... laying in the middle of nowhere in the desert!! LOL I am sure it was nothing......... "Thanks for the memories" Quote Link to comment

+E = Mc2
Welcome to the addiction! You've got a great bunch of cachers in the area to learn from and/or cache with. I would recommend that you try to attend the next event cache you can get to. You've got one coming up in Reading on the 16th that's pretty close to the cache you found. Check it out here. Have fun! +BillsBayou
My first one was today as well. It was also the first one I got out of the truck to find. I lucked out. My ACTUAL first one was further down the road. My GPS showed me passing the waypoint of a different one, so I stopped. Found it fairly quick. I never did find the one I intended to find first. *sigh* there's always tomorrow. I FEEL DIFFERENT!!!!! I'm searching about and giving sideways glances to strangers thinking "Muggles... muggles... muggles...". It's fun driving by locations and knowing that there are things hidden there about which no one knows a thing. Quote Link to comment
