+Happy Humphrey
I've just postponed my caching trip to West Yorkshire, as most caches there are going to be buried under a layer of snow - several on my list are at over 1000 feet. They're hard enough without that as well! Perhaps I'll try Shropshire / Staffordshire instead - is it likely to be reasonably snow-free around there? HH Quote Link to comment

Martin It's been snowing all day just up the road. None to speak of on the ground though. I had a cracking day caching near Cannock Chase yesterday though. Try there. Nediam
I suggest you check the weather page on the BBC's website for the area you intend to visit. I'm in south staffs and it's been snowing ALL day, fortunately it hasn't stuck and has just melted away but, more snow and colder temperatures are forecast Quote Link to comment

+Happy Humphrey
the weather forecast looks good after tomorrow - I was just trying to get an impression of the amount of lying snow, and whether caches are affected. It'll probably be OK. I'll just stick to a couple of easy ones ;-) Quote Link to comment
Team 'James W'
Well we are off to Wales tomorrow and try to find a few of the Cadair caches on sat and the Brecon beacon caches on sun so i hope it gets warmer!!! Last time I tried Welsh snow-caching I failed miserably! On the other hand, my first ever cache was in the snow and that was a success! (Nearly one year ago exactly now!) Good luck, wish I was coming with you (PS both these are well worth doing) James Quote Link to comment
