The 2620 tells me the software (or firmware) it is running is 4.20. But I see on Garmin's web site the latest firmware update they have is 3.90. Just wondering. The units were shipping with a later firmware version than the one posted on the web site. My advice would be not to change it unless you have a problem, until the web releases catch up. I would say welcome to the sport, since you are a "tadpole," but I see you have a 5 digit user number and a venerable "joined" date, so I'll just say welcome to the forums! Quote Link to comment

Just don't have that many questions because reading this forum answers almost all of them. I've had my V since August 2002 so I've logged alot of miles with GPS. I don't leave home without it.
