+Rottweiler
How can I tell if my GPS is a 300 or 300m? I have the Magellan SporTrak Map and it doesn't say anywhere on it about 300 or 300m. I bought the Map Send streets and Des Cnada and it says I need to know if I am using the 300 or 300m Map model.Im confused.Any help would be appreciated. Quote Link to comment
+GOT GPS?
The 300, 310, 315, 330, 330m were the older line of GPS units. The SporTraks are the newer units. SporTrak Map Key features 12 parallel channel WAAS GPS receiver for increased accuracy and tracking. waterproof and rugged construction with rubber armor. 6 MB of internal flash memory for map uploading from optional MapSend CD's 2 MB basemap shows highways and a general coastal outline Small and lightweight (it floats) with a high resolution display (160 x 104 pixels) -------------- The older GPS 330 mapping unit 12 channel 8 MB Map memory 8 MB Basemap The 300 series was before Thales bought Magellan GPS company, and the SporTraks were made by Thales I believe, since it says Thales inside the battery compartment of my SporTrak Color. +Marky
Thanks very much for the fast reply ,So then I shouldnt have select anything, just connect and load my maps? Just make sure that the baud rate you have selected on your GPS matches the baud rate selected in MapSend. --Marky Quote Link to comment
