mapwom
There were 5 archived caches within 5 miles of my zip code that showed up as recently as two weeks ago (I printed them out). Now they don't show up when I search on my zip code, (07712) they are gone. Am I missing something? Is this a bug/feature? Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
Once a cache is archived, it is not supposed to show up in a search based on zipcode or coordinates. Are you certain that the caches weren't temporarily disabled, with a blue line through them? Perhaps your local volunteer went through and cleaned up some of the caches that had been disabled for too long, and archived them (with a red line through them). +WRITE SHOP ROBERT
You still can make them appear when using the "Identify" feature on the GC.com maps, click the option for "view archived" Link to comment
+rldill
There are 3 on my find list that will not show up from there. When I click on one of them it says "An Error Has Occured Sorry, you cannot view this cache listing until it has been approved." I found them in sept of 2002 and was not the 1st or last finder of them. Link to comment
+Hemlock
"An Error Has Occured Sorry, you cannot view this cache listing until it has been approved." Well the error message seems to tell you the problem. For whatever reason, the cache has been unapproved. You won't be able to see it until it gets listed again. Link to comment

Can you get to a log entry that was made, if a cache has been unapproved after you had found it? --Marky Link to comment
+Hemlock
If you have the link to the log (which you do on your "My Account" page) then you can see the log. You just can't see the cache itself. Link to comment

How/why would a cache be unapproved, especially more than 2 years after approval. Roger Link to comment
+Hemlock
There could be several reasons. What cache are we talking about here? Link to comment

Jeremy
They were delisted by the owner. Link to comment
+briansnat
What does "delisted" mean and how does it differ from archivin a cache? Link to comment
+Hemlock
It's a complicated process that involves strange music, chanting, fire, crystal balls, and maybe a goat or two. Only a few cachers have ever witnessed it. Link to comment
+sbell111
I imagine that you REALLY have to cause a stink for it to happen. Link to comment

+sbell111
I think its the same as 'unapproved'. Link to comment
+briansnat
I think its the same as 'unapproved'. So how does an owner go about getting his cache "unapproved"? Link to comment
+RuffRidr
What happens to the logs on the 'unapproved' caches? Are they unlogged? Really what happened? --RuffRidr Link to comment
+Hemlock
The logs are still there. Edit: Here's an example. Edited March 14, 2005 by Hemlock Link to comment
