+tnfishdaddy
I am wanting to download some benchmarks to my gps and palm like I do my caches. How do I do this? When I tried to run a pocket query, there was no option for benchmarks. Quote Link to comment
+embra
You'll have to get the original datasheets from the NGS site, convert them to gpx files, and import that into something like GSAK. The process and relevant links are described here. BM PQs are much requested here, but until they get a means of updating the database from the NGS records they would be of limited value. +tnfishdaddy
I downloaded the bmgpx and installed it. When I click on the desktop icon, all I get is a black page with some general info on it like version, desc, and author. how do I use this? I went to the ngs page and did all that. Not sure how to stick the ngs page into bmgpx. Please help an idiot. Quote Link to comment
+California Bear
First, you need to make sure that you select the ZIP option for downloading from the NGS. After you unzip, you will have file with a .DAT extension. In Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer), just drag the DAT file and drop it onto the icon for bmgpx and it will automatically create the GPX file. Quote Link to comment
