Thanks, Cat Anyone help? SP
+Firth of Forth Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 I have 4722 caches on my GSAK file - think that's all of them up to a day or so ago. No idea how many cachers though.
NickPick Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 (edited) geocaching.com's 'about' page says As of today, there are 142068 active caches in 213 countries. In the last 7 days, there have been 83835 new logs written by 16409 account holders. You didn't get a kiss on that email then? Edited February 10, 2005 by NickPick
+Brenin Tegeingl Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 After a quick search for sats, I came up with the following. Worldwide there is 142065 caches In the last 7 days there was 883800 new logs by 16405 accounts. Acorcding to my GSAK, there is 4377 active caches in the UK. Unfortunatly teasel has removed the uk stats from ,G:UK but he might be the best person to ask about the No's of UK cachers. Dave
+John Stead Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 You've probably already looked at GeocachingUK's figures which I read as 5166 caches and 7410 cachers. But the latter figure is of those who have logs on UK caches, i.e. including visitors and excluding UK cachers activity abroad and does not indicate how many are still active. It would take a while to distinguish these though Deego might have means of doing so without actually counting on the list.
+John Stead Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Seems that Dave andI were typing at the same time! I had no problem in accessing GCUK!
+Brenin Tegeingl Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Ah John I was trying to have a look at the overal stats page, which has now been removed . Many brains take diferent aproaches to the same problem, sometimes it results in a DNF Dave
+Simply Paul Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 Thanks folks - mail sent to the BBC. Cheers for all your help. I sent 'average' figues. SP Topic sealed as it was only a quickie.
