+BilboB
I cannot give specifics, but I am leaving soon to start my deployment to Iraq in the next few months. If anyone want to send me a TB, I will gladly "log" it over there and send it back. Not sure if I am taking on too much of a task here, but I think not. Due to security reasons, this is as specific as I can get. Log your responses here and email me with your specific questions. Edited February 9, 2005 by BilboB Quote Link to comment
+strikeforce1
OT First off - thanks from all of us, for going. What ever you do, stay safe and hurry back home! Hopefully, you'll be able to log a few caches along the way. May the "Geo Gods watch over you!" Back on Topic, I'll have a few heading to Europe. Hoping to get the last one in the next day or two. If your stopping in the area, I'll ship them out asap. If you are going direct, "Thanks for the Offer, anyway SF1. Quote Link to comment
+Team Bear-Cat
Your willingness to serve your country and your fellow-geocachers is very much appreciated!!! We have three TBs that would love to log Iraq! (One is ours, the others are in our inventory that wants to travel around the world) Are you going to mail them back? (Not sure any should 'stay' there...) Please reply or pm to work out details. BTW, we are in GA and will be in AZ next week, if either help as far as getting them closer to you... Thanks very much!!! +Eartha
Thanks you for what you are doing for our country and theirs. Stay safe. And tell the men and women over there how much we appreciate them. Quote Link to comment
+BilboB
Thank you all for the kind words. Like I stated, send them and they will EVENTUALLY come back. I will have a digital camera on me at all times, so I will log them hopefully at a cache somewhere in coutry. As I emailed someone, 21 caches in an area the size of New England might make things more of a challenge. I live in Vermont and I will accept them for the next few weeks. No need to send any money. The federal government (taxpayers) should pick up the tab for return postage. Quote Link to comment

+Milbank
I have the SGT Smash 1-151 FA TB. It's goal is to make it to Iraq to visit my fellow soldiers currently serving their country there. I picked up this TB on a Island not long ago. It would be great if you could help with this TB. If it's not to late please send me the address I need to mail it to. Thanks, Waypoints@gmail.com Edited February 14, 2005 by Milbank Quote Link to comment

ElementalJay
Just so everyone knows, nearly all the geocaches in Iraq are on the US bases. A good friend just established one on the base where I worked in Baghdad - http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...7d-4c1e3147219c. (if I'm lucky, maybe i WON'T get the chance to go back and log it! ) The only issue is whether or not the base BilboB gets sent to is one with a cache. If not, he could easily set one up - with a few security issues addressed. "Eyes and ears open, common sense applied." 1LT (Formerly SGT) Jay Quote Link to comment
+BilboB
I just want to say thanks for all the nice emails and kind words over the past few weeks and also thanks for all the travel bugs too. I received 7 TB's and a WG$1. The owners want either the TBs logged at a cache in Iraq and returned, or logged and left to travel. I was also able to grab 1 YJTB which I will also release, as well as a GeoCoin which is in the mail. Thanks everyone and... God Bless America!! Quote Link to comment
