Have Rim Blackberry - Any Caching App's?

I've done some poking around on google, haven't found anything useful yet.

Of course, some of the Treo units are Palms/Blackberry's in one unit, so they're covered.

I just got a 7520 Nextel blackberry, thought it would be nifty for some apps, but no luck so far. I'm not a coder, so I'm stuck.

Mobipocket has just released it's second alpha for the BlackBerry (I'm on a 7750). I've installed the app (alpha2) and it seems to be working fine (on OS 4.0).

I'm also a premium member and I have been generating the eBook query for my caches from the "My Pocket Queries" (there is an option to generate the output as an eBook http://www.geocaching.com/pocket/ ). The MobiPocket loads these files up easily and the .prc files that included are quite compact. And voila! You should be rocking...

The Mobi Reader Lite 5.0 for Blackberry can be installed on Java Blackberry devices with a firmware version 3.7 (and higher).

I'm on an older Blackberry so won't help me, but thanks for sharing as others may have newer units.

I am thinking about getting a Nextel blackberry. If there is geocaching software out there for the blackberry, then I might just get one

Good news, I'm testing the new Trimble Outdoors application for the GPS Blackberry 7520. Looks like a great caching tool. It's supposed to be out for the general public next month. :(

I'm not totally familiar with a Blackberry .... but I believe you can find and read your E-Mail .... so at the very least just E-mail yourself the cache data and read it when needed. You could use geocaching.com WAP to get condensed data and log your finds. ;) ImpalaBob

Works if you are a casual cacher, however I know some people who put all of Georgia's caches they haven't found in their PDA and sometimes for areas in other states they travel to frequently.

Wouldn't won't to email myself a thousand emails each week.

Also, not sure if true for all B.B.s, but mine does not do HTML in emails so I might miss graphics needed.

WAP is ok, but my unit does not have web access...at least to most sites.

We still want a B.B. native app.

I tried wap.geocaching.com with my blackberry and it is nice. BUT with this site I am not able to pick out a new cache. It works great if I already have a cache I am working with and want to check out hints. But it does not give you the description so you can not find it. Instead of giving you access to the log they should show you the description instead.

OK Here goes... I have a 7520 and I use 2 apps

1) trimble outdoors http://www.trimbleoutdoors.com

Best program... You do need to install an app on your computer and then set what street mas/topo/arial image you want to show on your Blackberry... for this service you pay something like $7 a month to use... but I think it only works on Nextel phones...

2) Spot... http://www.skylab-mobilesystems.com This is program that is a little less robust... benifit is no Desktop app needed... only a one time fee... and you have a wide chioce of maps to load... This one I use if I was not planning on Caching... this one is only for the BB7520

I do use one other program that is cool with GPS it is not for Caching but it does use the GPS and is very cool... telenav... it give you turn by turn direcitons as you drive... I love it... but enough off topic here is the website... www.telenav.com

I will give the disclaimer that I do work for Nextel now sprint and so I am forced to be a little bias since I don't use other providers phones and have no need for a GPS Device... however I will put it out there that I am open for qustions if you wish to ask... Promise no Sales pitches...
