+jjn too Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 So, just got my shiny new TomTom Go this morning, just wondering if anyones created an overlay of all the geocaches in the uk yet! If not, I can probably do it... Would this be of interest? Quote
+jjn too Posted February 1, 2005 Author Posted February 1, 2005 Ok... my bad - just found the download on geocacheuk.com Quote
Nediam Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I could use an overlay for TomTom. Where abouts on geocacheuk.com is the download? Thanx. Quote
+jjn too Posted February 2, 2005 Author Posted February 2, 2005 You have to be registered on the geocachinguk web site... I got to it via UK Stats-> Caches -> [search] -> File Download Then selecting the tomtom overlay format for all 5089 (at time of writing) caches... Quote
+McDeHack Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 After I read this thread I went and found and downloaded and coppied to my Tomtom go. Dam good, what? Now, how to add a sound/ warning when getting close to a cache? Quote
+Learned Gerbil Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 I have thr Tomtom HP navigation pack which is supposed to have the same software as a TomTOm GO. Tap o nthe screen, go in to settings, click right until you see Warn when near POI - then choose the buggle (at least that is what I did - you might prefer the Cuckoo!) Quote
Nediam Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Thanks jjn. I shall have a look tonight after work. Quote

+Lennie's Keepers Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 You can also generate TomTom overlays with GSAK. Richard Quote
Moss Trooper Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Further to me last post.. I was playing with POI Edit when I needed some calibration data in Lat/Long I found this place Directory of Cities And Towns in the World which is quite neat. Handy for calibrating maps. Moss Quote
+rutson Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 I found this place Directory of Cities And Towns in the World which is quite neat. Handy for calibrating maps. Moss Nice resource, but according to that, Elland (where I live) is in 'Aberdeen City' Quote
+McDeHack Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Silly old me. I wrote 'how' but I know how and did. Got the horn 2 for the caches. I had it running whilst in town (London) today and I was suprised how many there were that it seems that I have not done. I shall have my work cut out this evening checking these. Thanks for the info and help my mates. Quote

Moss Nice resource, but according to that, Elland (where I live) is in 'Aberdeen City' Here yer go Mr. Rutson Sir try this it puts you as Elland .......... +Geofellas Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I was playing with POI Edit This looks cool - but it is only for PC. What would be REALLY useful is a similar prog. that enabled me to edit the POIs right on the PDA so that when I'm doing a multi that requires driving being between stages my life is made simpler. Anyone know of such a tool? Quote
+rutson Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Try this for size, great for big multis Quote
