Without a doubt this picture of me on top of Mt St Helens. I earned my M10Bike Geocoin and was given a glass of red wine by a group of climbers I met on my way up. That is Mt Rainier in the background, oh, and about 2 steps behind me is the lava dome This was taken on Sep 4, 2003.

Though it does not really compare to the wonderful mountain caches others have found, this is nice for Illinois. When it gets cold, even the rivers sometimes freeze. That certainly makes reaching the island a little easier.

Purple Lupines at the base of Mount Cadillac in Acadia National Park (Bar Harbor, ME).

Full-sized image makes a nice desktop. I have a bunch of geocaching pictures in my gallery. Just use the search tool for "geocaching" to see the obvious ones. My others are interspersed with my trip galleries and are from geocaching on my travels.

I have too many great experiences to post, so check my profile for some of them. This is one of my few high-terrain solo hikes near the popular Mt. Si. I only saw one other hiker on the trail that day.

This was after a fail attempt for a cache, just what happens when you go the wrong way, I had waded out around a spot outcroping of rocks when the waves went out. On the way back,after no finding the cache, the tide had come in and I did not time the waves correctly. Well I go stuck between to large rocks when the waves came back in so I braced myself. Well the waves met between my feet, so the water shot straight up between my legs. Must have gone 10-12 feet in the air.

I have not been back to the cache, I later found out there is parking rather close.

Wow, I have way too many to choose just one! But this one came as such a special surprise it ranks near the top.

Hikenit and I had gone down to Rome, GA to see Lance Armstrong compete (and win) in the 2004 Tour de Georgia, as well do some caches in the area. After the race was over and Lance had won, we made our way to the stage for the award presentations. As Lance started walking up through the crowd he came right by me and then stopped to wait for someone; I took this photo of the 2004 male athlete of the year!

This isn't framed very well, since it was a fleeting moment and I wanted to catch it quickly. But it was on a day when my son and I took my dad out for his first caching trip. It was a nice day and a nice memory.

Ok, this isn't a geocaching picture. It's Darwin 2002 (but I had my trusty Garmin 12 right there beside me). I just didn't know about geocaching then. I'd be willing to bet there's a cache hidden within .1 mile of this very beautiful spot.

This photo is actually from my favorite DNF. It turns out the cache was encased in the block of ice at the bottom of the Ice Stalagtite.
