shunra Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 In two of my PQs, this cache shows up. However, I cannot see it yet, as it hasn't been approved yet. Is this freak incident, or are there more such cases?
Renegade Knight Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 It seems to be approved now. Did you get FTF?
Stunod Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Not approved for me. Jamie Really??? Still looks fine for me.
Renegade Knight Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 (edited) It's showing up for me but I'm also showing up as not logged in. I'll log in and take another look. Same either way. Logged in or not. Edited January 25, 2005 by Renegade Knight
Markwell Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Might be a caching thing (computer cache). Either on the end user or the Geocaching.com servers...
Seay me Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Hold down the shift button and click refresh on your browser. It'll force a new download of the webpage rather than pulling up a cached version stored on you PC. Worth a try.
Jamie Z Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 I clicked on the link again (no shift button or anything) and it came up fine. Odd. Jamie
shunra Posted January 26, 2005 Author Posted January 26, 2005 Tried the shift thing, but it made no difference. Tried again a few hours later, and the page loaded fine. Odd. Nope, no FTF for me...
Hemlock Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 It was probably a caching thing on one of the servers. Remember we're on a two-machine server farm now. One of them was fine, so some people saw it approved, the other was caching the unapproved page. It looks like it cleared up eventually.
zoltig Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 A few weeks ago, I logged in to my cache page and linked over to Colorado and saw aprox. 10-12 unapproved caches. hehehe Nice glitch. Now, how about lottery numbers?

That was actually an issue with the databases. The only problem was the cache list page was not showing the correct cache names. The caches were approved, otherwise you would have been told so when you clicked on them.
