Turkey Trotter
1. Go to http://mappoint.msn.com/DirectionsFind.aspx 2. In the Start section, select "Norway" from the listbox and enter "Haugesund" into the "City" field 3. In the End section, select "Norway" from the listbox and enter "Trondheim" into the "City" field 4. Click on "Get Directions" Interesting choice of route Quote Link to comment
rutson
Saw that on another forum this morning. OK Tomtom does tend to go via some unconventional routes sometimes, but that's plain silly! Quote Link to comment
jochta
Are the roads in Norway really that bad?! Quote Link to comment
Turkey Trotter
Are the roads in Norway really that bad?! Apparently not, you can do the journey back direct so I assume it is one monster of a one-way system. Good opportunity to get to caches in 6 different countries tho [edit]Having just re-run this route selecting shortest route gives even better results [/edit] Edited January 24, 2005 by Turkey Trotter Quote Link to comment
Simply Paul
I was in Haugesund last year, and tried to get to Trondheim via public transport (coach and train) but only got as far as Førde (pronounced Ferda) - Looking at that map for those locations too I can see my obvious mistake. It seems I should have been to Hull and back... SP Quote Link to comment
Learned Gerbil
What's the problem? The Mappoint route must go near more caches than the direct route! Quote Link to comment
