+Snooch and Meme
Hey gang, I saw a cache a while back in the forums that quoted a law about being in a graveyard at night. If you could post it for me, I'd be grateful! .....and so would the people it saves! Quote Link to comment
adampierson
Keep in mind that the laws you read on these forums may not apply in your state. If you plan on caching in a graveyard, you better do it during regular daylight/business hours. Playing around in a cemetary at night could get some unwanted attention, despite what your local law may say. Quote Link to comment
+Clan X-Man
In South Carolina I have been told you can't be in a graveyard after dark. I was told this by a police officer and a couple of other folks. Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
Odd are the law would be either state or local and would vary by state, county, and city. Quote Link to comment
Rupert2
Law or no law you are going to attract some unwanted attention. Quote Link to comment
+Patudles
You mean I shouldn't use the cemetery as a night time cache hide? Bummer Quote Link to comment
+pnew
who cares about laws... everyone knows cemetaries at night are the number 1 spot to cache a face to face encounter with the Boogie Man. There's no need to risk anymore Boogyman confrontations than you have to... Edited January 24, 2005 by pnew Quote Link to comment
+JohnnyVegas
If you feel the need to find a cache in a cemetary, leave your shovel at home. Quote Link to comment
+bthomas
Most of us have watched the scene in some horror movie, but there are still people out there that aren't clued... the next victim. Quote Link to comment
+Colorado Cacher
I would think that as long as you dont wake anybody up it would be ok? Quote Link to comment
+Baruba Juba
I have a cemetery series in SC (Kick the Bucket) There are now over 20 in the series. Our approver told me to post the times for the cemeteries. Our laws are that if there is NO gate or posted hours, the cemetery is open. However, if it is locked or gated and hours are posted you can't be in the cemetery after hours. The policemen in the area will still stop for flashlights or folks in cemeteries after dark. It is probably because of the youth being entranced by these places. Cops are just "making sure" I would assume. But, the other logs are right...if you are in the cemeteries at night...you will draw attention. With so many cemetery caches being placed please use discretion when seeking and placing caches. They should be placed where NO stones have to be touched and AWAY from family plots UNLESS you have permission. I know WHEN I die I want a really cool cache on my grave site!! +JohnnyVegas
How about a Headstone with a cache inside of it. Or the coordinates for a nearby cache could be engraved on the headstone Quote Link to comment

Not for me - don't get me wrong, it's a fun game - I just don't want to play it (or be it) for eternity, I don't think..... I'd rather be stashed as a fertilizer pod, Become one with the tree (and the tree one with me): http://www.capsulamundi.com/introduzione.html Hey, does anybody know, is this legal anywhere in the USA you think? Probably not - all those pesky Public Health Laws and Regulations, ensuring that cholera germs and other cooties keep outta our water table..... (but if anyone does know of anywhere stateside that this IS legal, let me know - this is how I wanna be planted at the end of the game) Quote Link to comment
