Silny Jako Bek
For the last few days, I have been in email contact with a cacher from out of state who wanted some hints for one of my puzzle caches, as she would be visiting here this weekend. Turns out, she is staying with my next door neighbor! Anyone else have tales of a small geo-world? Quote Link to comment
Ladybug Kids
Your "Pico de Peklo" cache is less than 0.5 miles from my parents' home where I grew up. My father has looked for the cache a couple of times without luck. I can't wait until my next visit to Tucson to go look for it and other caches of yours with my family. A "Bear Down" TB University of Arizona hat passed through Fairbanks a few months ago. I'm a U of A alum. Quote Link to comment
RocketMan
I posted this same topic a couple of years ago (Geocaching Coincidences). There were some interesting responses back then. RM Quote Link to comment
Chillibusher
My wife and I went to her hometown to visit the inlaws and we decided to go have a drive down memory lane and visit the home she grew up in as a child. As we pulled up to the old house she got excited to see the old place. I got excited because outside the house there were vehicles with geocaching stickers all over the cachemobiles. She wanted to go up to the door and say I used to live here can I look around. I wanted to go up to the door and say, "Anybody wanna go caching?" Small world sometimes. Quote Link to comment
briansnat
When I found my first cache I signed my full name in the logbook. A few weeks later I received an e-mail from the owner who wanted to know if I was related to X and Y (not their real names). Well X happens to be my father and Y is my brother. It turns out that the owner was a retired police officer and served in the same police department as my brother and father and they were pretty good friends. Quote Link to comment
Clan X-Man
I didn't know anyone else who cached around where I live. I work for a satellite installation company and at one of our meetings I had on my GC.com hat. One of the guys I had worked with for 6 months comes over after the meeting and goes you cache too? Yes it is a small geo world. Quote Link to comment
