+Lemon Fresh Dog
Hello all, I just placed my new geocoin into one of my caches. I updated the HTML code and am getting the "Geocoin seen in this cache" image. However, it *should* say "Geocong is IN the cache" -- does anyone have info on how long it should take the update to occur? The reason I ask is because I see it points to a URL and I would assume that the act of logging the coin creates a relationship between my cache # and the coin -- which should result in the new image being almost instantanious. +Eartha
Sometimes when the server is busy, usually more so after a weekend, it takes a little while for a log to show up. Give it a little time, and come back if it doesn't show up on the page. Quote Link to comment
+Lemon Fresh Dog
Hello there, it's been about 6 hours. The log shows on the geocoin.ca site, but it doesn't change the little box to "Coins in cache" -- it does show that coins have been "sighted" The cache in quesition is GCJN17 Summer Reading 3 I'll check later tonight -- it really isn't that big of a deal, but it would be nice if folks could see that the cache is loaded with a coin. +ibycus
I think its broken. Just tried inserting the code for my Puppy is Sleeping cache, that has a geocoin logged in to it (and has for some time), and it still says that they have been seen in the cache, and not that it is there. +ibycus
Perhaps it should be added that these are Canadian Geocoins we're talking about here. Quote Link to comment
+Lemon Fresh Dog
Yup -- it's been over 24 hours and both of my recently released coins have no notation that they are in their caches (well, one cache is waiting approval, but the listing is a "sighted" only banner) I guess folks will just have to read the logs to know if the coins are still in place. rescue557
Canadian geocoins aren't trackable through Geocaching.com as far as I know. Quote Link to comment
+Lemon Fresh Dog
There's an HTML link from geocaching.com to the tracking site. It "should" update, but I am not sure where the problem originates. It's probably the tracking site. Quote Link to comment
