Gpsmap Garmin 60cs Question

:) When you are going to a waypoint and the GPS is showing the route, it shows your trail or track 0- a little brown line. How can I delete that? When I am going from one cache to another, I cannot see for the brown lines all over. I know there must be a simple answer, but my book does not seem to show it - or if it does, I cannot find it.

I sure hope someone can help me. I just started Geocaching last month, and have logged 10 finds. I love this hobby, and I think my family picked the best GPS device ever - it takes me to within 20 feet of a find - and most of the time it is under that.

To delete the current track, from the Menu page » 'Tracks' » ENTR » 'Clear' » ENTR » 'Yes' » ENTR. To delete saved tracks from the Tracks page, scroll to the track you want to delete, press ENTR » 'Delete' » ENTR » 'Yes' » ENTR.

More info can be found on the Garmin 60/76 FAQ site.

in your main menu there is an icon for tracks. You can go in ther to

a. change your track color to sometning a little less bothersome.

b. clear your tracklog (Keep in mind it will still come back)

c. turn off the tracklog recording (It will not record your path)

I also use the compass pointer for geocaching rather than the map screen. I find it is easier to have a pointer rather than a map. Plus you have the digital compass.
