skillett
I had forgot how to mark a waypoint with my etrex venture. my old gps 12 had a mark button. this one doesn't .so i downloaded the manual from garmin . and in the course of finding out what i wanted to know I saw a waypoint icon for geocaching. way cool! I guess you have hit the big time when a manufacturer supports your hobby! edit spelling Edited December 31, 2004 by rbezell Quote Link to comment
+sept1c_tank
Back in the old daze of the Garmin12 (which is what I currently use), no one had ever heard of geocaching. My friend recently acquired an etrex and that was one of the first things I noticed; you do learn something everyday, or you're dead. Quote Link to comment
ThePup
Friend of mine has a 12XL which I borrowed a couple of times. He was quite jealous when I showed him that I had a "Geocache" and a "Geocache found" icon for waypoint markers on my GPS 72 I want to know why they chose a treasure chest, rather than a tupperware box... +NightPilot
With an icon that small, how can you be sure it's not tupperware? Quote Link to comment
