+matbluvenger
Hey, I was just wondering what peoples personal records are for the most caches found in one day. For me: 9 in a span of 5 hours (this was with three other people) let's hear what everybody else has to say Quote Link to comment
Ca Racetramp
My wife and I did 16 caches in about 8 hours one day. It really wasn't a hurry up and go either. We started at the top of HWY 154 near Santa Barbara and worked our way back towards Santa Maria (CA). Quote Link to comment
+The Foote
I have done about 28 or so in one day. This was myself and one other cacher. Plus another time with my son I did 20 in a day. (about 10 hour days each time.) Quote Link to comment
+G'n,G
I've done six in a day.. Quote Link to comment
+Teachermom
This is kind of a tricky topic. My best has been 25 in a day, but it was in an area with many geocaches. In some areas, the caches are pretty sparse. I guess someone with too much time on their hands could devise some sort of equation that balances out terrain/difficulty/cache density. For example it could be more significant if someone does 3 caches in one day with a 3 difficulty/3 terrain than someone who does 10 1/1 in a day. But then again, it's not about the numbers. Or is it? +GeoBrowns
32 last Sat., within about a 5 mile radius, easy to do in the Bay Area. Previously have had 23 and 25 find days, sometimes starting late in the mornings. Quote Link to comment
+matbluvenger
Wow, those are mighty large numbers. I feel kind of inadequite. It sounds like a lot of them are in California, mostly Bay Area. And I have cacheed near there, in Roseville, and the caches are very dense in location. I think if I spent a solid whole day caching there I could find quite a bit Quote Link to comment
+Marky
These days, 5 in a day is a lot for us. We rarely do more than 10 or 15 in a day. The 24 hour record is somewhere over 270 and was done in Jacksonville, Florida. --Marky Quote Link to comment
+GeoBrowns
Local example Here is a quote from Johnny Vegas and another, 4th one down (don't know how to quote directly to a post in the middle of a thread) from an area local Walruz, as to what the SF Bay Area is like. This is from a thread on power caching. We have many no cache days but are relatively new right now, just a little over 3 months, so getting these weekend spurts is fun, so many areas and parks to explore. Both hubby and I enjoy it equally so it helps, he does the GPS, I check the PDA for the cache notes. Takes longer for a single person I would think unless they plan ahead of time. We just download an area and go. Quote Link to comment
+Cow Spots
My personal best was 32, which I did in the hours before a night event in Glendale, Arizona. Quote Link to comment
+The Dillon Gang
Personal best was 31 in in a 5 hour time period...two of them were locationless. Quote Link to comment
+ShowStop
I found 66 caches in 12 hours with Team Dakiba out in Riverside, CA. Quote Link to comment
+paul2tele
Picked off ten in one day during a 580 mile RT to Spokane from Puget Sound. Had 2 or 3 DNF's as well. Oh, and managed to get a few hours of work in as well. Quote Link to comment
+budd-rdc
Hey, I was just wondering what peoples personal records are for the most caches found in one day. For me: 9 in a span of 5 hours (this was with three other people) let's hear what everybody else has to say A team of 2 to 3 people is probably the best size for doing quick finds. Any more, and there's confusion. And searching alone can be time-consuming when you have a one-track mind. My personal best per day for searching alone is somewhere around 10, while doing it with a team (my brother) is double that, 20-25. It helps to have tools like a PDA with CacheMate, and GPSr with street map software. Preparation, including studying street and trail maps ahead of time, saves a lot of time, too. There are times where we could have found more, but it'd get tiresome, so we'd stop. Quote Link to comment
+4wheeler
My best was 53 caches and 8 benchmarks in one day around Modesto. This was a 3 person quest. I have heard of others having several hundred finds in one day in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area. There are several power-caching trails that are several miles long with a cache every 0.1 miles. RADTRIO
12 in one day pretty sad Quote Link to comment
+Chuy!
I have 15 in one day (San Diego County). But I have 11 FTF's in one day, and in a four hour period, solo. Well, actually with my 6 year old who prevented me from continuing on to where I might have realistically reached 15+ FTF's. The area (Anza Borrego Desert off S2) was saturated with caches in preparation for a camping event. I was "competing" with another cache who ended up getting 9 FTFs on the same day I had 11; then, he got another 8 or 9 FTF's the following day. Now, had I known this before I left my house, would I have left her home? No way! we had fun caching together and enjoyed every minute. The local FTF record is by DUSCWE! who has 12 FTF's in one day. Personal best was an even 50 up in Palm Springs/La Quinta. As for the 12 FTF's, I was up at my Dad's cabin in Crestline (near Big Bear) doing some caching. The following day about 16 new caches popped up. That was a great day. D! Quote Link to comment
+Team Perks
130 in 15 hours in La Quinta. Whew... Quote Link to comment

+matbluvenger
Wow, that is really quite impressive. Hell, I don't even have 130 done since I've started playing! Quote Link to comment
+vds
Hey, I was just wondering what peoples personal records are for the most caches found in one day. For me: 9 in a span of 5 hours (this was with three other people) let's hear what everybody else has to say 37 for me on the original Bremerton Cache Machine in Dec'03 along with a dozen people, my personal solo best is I think 19 plus a couple DNFs last spring in Olympia WA. The world record appears to be 246 in a day (with 56 DNFs), see the thread from back then. I'd be exhausted just logging them... Quote Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
240 here. Being the *former* holder of the world record just means I'm the world's biggest loser. Quote Link to comment
+bullit
20 for me and as I recall that was a very long day.... just got 7 in one hour tonight when 7 new ones popped up close to home Quote Link to comment

+ProTechCC
Would a multi with 45 stages count? Quote Link to comment
+Alamogul
bthomas and I have had well over twenty 50+ cache days, with a 185 day in Cacheville (TN) and 125 in 13 hours in LaQuinta a few weeks ago. Quote Link to comment

We (with DavidT1 & Fisherwoman and bthomas) averaged 1 per mile for the 30 mike trek this past summer. I've noticed that there are quite a few more caches there now. Quote Link to comment
+Cow Spots
In the "my God he must be crazy" category, I recently hit 10 caches in under 2 hours, 9 of them FTFs. These caches were 50+ miles from my house, and I did them between 11:15pm and 1:15 am, pitch black in a light drizzle. Quote Link to comment
Vacman
My best was 24 last year in Vegas (in a six hour period). I am going to be back there in a couple of weeks and I am hoping to double that number. Quote Link to comment
+Team GPSaxophone
We did somewhere around 25 in one day on a trip from New Mexico to California. Quote Link to comment
+jaigh_taylor
I have yet to go out caching all day, but so far my highest cache/time ratio has been 4/hr. It would have been 5 in 1hour and 10 minutes, but there were muggles about. =/ I like to think that's not too bad for a n00b that's only found 8 caches so far.. Quote Link to comment
+BlueSkyMI
I think 8 or 9 in one day is our personal best. Could probably do more if we didn't take the kids. Quote Link to comment
+Cav Scout
I logged in about 51 or 52 cache finds in 16 hour period at a Cache Machine event last month in WA. Lots of fun. Quote Link to comment
