Brand New Garmin Etrex Legend,

At my recent retirement, I was given a Garmin eTrex Legend - so I guess we've come a long way since the proverbial gold watch!

 

Anyway, my trusty Garmin 12MAP still works fine, and I would rather get a nice hand-held marine radio. The GPS was purchased at Dick's Sporting Goods for $169.99, and I have the gift receipt. The closest Dick's store does not carry marine radios.

 

I would like to get $150 for it, but will consider other offers. I'll include the gift receipt so the buyer can work a return at Dick's if desired. Shipping will be at real cost by whatever method the buyer specifies.

Just a thought---Could you get the local store to order the marine radio for you and do an exchange for credit?

Or work out a trade for refund with the company for an online purchase?

They do offer the marine radios at some stores and in the online store. That way you would get the full amount refunded to you.

Thanks for the suggestion, Team Neos. I just visited the local Galyans store, and they agreed to help me pretty much as you suggested.

 

I'm going to close this thread and go with the store return approach.
