Twas The Night Before Caching..

Ok, Christmas is almost here, and I think it's time for a little story.. I'll start the story off, but you have to add on to it. Comic Strips are definately welcome..

 

Here goes..

 

Twas the night before Christmas and all through my house, the only sound that was heard was me clicking my mouse. On the hunt for new caches, tomorrow I will find, in the hopes of being the first, to log the first find..

 

Man, I love a good story. I can't wait to see how this one ends..

All the printouts were stacked by the printer with care in hope that the Caches still would be there.

I took from my pocket my Palm with Cachemate,

knowing that printouts are way out of date.

Entering Queries, I knew I would find...

... a jeep travel bug, and maybe a cool geocoin. When I woke the next morning and got out of bed. I showered and shaved and put on my old caching threads.

But alast it was raining so I went to the store instead....

I found myself buying a new GPS

A Garmin Gpsmap, the best, no less.

Waterproof to protect during torrential rain

Map source and compass to help keep me sane

Ahem.....

 

I rechecked my Cache-pack to make sure all was right,

Just in case a new cache appeared during the night.

 

There was a flashlight and trade items and spare set of batteries,

Tecnu, and Ivy Block, a snake bite kit and Sting-Eze.

 

My First Aid kit that had the inflatable splint,

Just in case I took a tumble and had to return with a limp.

 

There was guaze and bandaids and a big bottle of iodine,

Everything looked in order for having a good time.

so i got in the car and i turnd the key but blast it i forgot gasoline

All hope is not lost if you start hiking soon

You may be first-to-find if you get there by noon.

 

Have you ever had a camel strapped to your back?

It feels like a geocacher’s gadget-filled knapsack.

 

With all of this gear, you’ll need something strong

A brand-new Jeep, perhaps, or even King Kong.

And what to my wonderous eyes should appear?

A new Zombie Tribe cache, and wow it was near!

I downloaded the waypoint and was away with a clatter

for competition was fierce, there was no time to chatter.

Through the fog I made effort towards the place I knew joy

In the hopes I get FTF, or at least a McToy

Then out of the darkness while I was so busy

Stepped a familier face, it was Fizzy

The snow it was deep so my snowshoes I found

And I wandered in circles with my aim northward bound....
