4wheelin_fool
Is there anywhere a cache can be put up for adoption? If you have one, but you are moving from the area and would not like to see it archived, is there an easy way to find someone to adopt it? Or, a way to adopt an abandoned cache? Quote Link to comment
+Spencersb
This is mostly done through local organizations and informal contact with local individual geocachers. Sine you're in East TN, I'd start here. You might also post in the South & Southeast Forums. Quote Link to comment
+IV_Warrior
You could try posting a note to the cache page. Anyone "watching" the cache will get an e-mail, and anyone who looks at the page will see the notice. Sometimes, I see threads in the "regional forums" here asking for someone to adopt caches. Then, more directly, if you know some local cachers who you think would be willing/able to do it, you might even e-mail them directly. Quote Link to comment
+mattt
When I moved from Kansas to Wisconsin, I put a note on the cache page and also emailed all cachers that had found my cache. Within a day I had multiple offers for adoption. I then emailed Groundspeak and they changed the owner. Quote Link to comment
