+VisionQuest220
I am not a Premium Member but I know that being able to receive .gpx files is one of the major benefits of upgrading my status. Having never seen a .gpx file, it occurs to me that being able to download a sample .gpx file to look at and possibly convert for paperless use would give knucklehead like me a better understanding of what we're really missing. Would it be possible to have a sample .gpx file available for download on the Geocaching.com page that explains all about waypoints? Link to comment
+Stunod
Clayjar has a sample posted on his Watcher Download Page Link to comment
+VisionQuest220
Thanks for the redirect. Someone also mentioned that to me in another thread but I still think it would be a good idea for TPTB to have one readily available on the Geocaching.com site. Just my humble non-Premium Member opinion. Link to comment
+Prime Suspect
A GPX file contains essentially all the information that you can see on a cache page, including travel bugs, the last 5 logs, plus any logs you have posted to the cache. Link to comment
Jeremy
Yes. You're right. I have to add some text to the premium member page as well. I'll see what I can do. Thanks! Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
I can only imagine what text might need to be added to the premium member page. Welcome to the evil empire. +Ed & Julie
If you use the program Gsak, a sample .gpx file is included. Ed Link to comment
