+TheNomad Posted December 7, 2004 Share Posted December 7, 2004 Hi there, My cache (GCKDF5) seems to be somewhere in limbo. On my owned-cache list, I see that it's available and active. When I view the cache page, it states that the cache is currently unavailable. I've cleared my browser cache (although I'm certain it has nothing to do with my browser caching the page) with no effect. I've called it up on another computer, and it shows available. This seems due to some kind of latency issue between two machines where one machine is reporting it properly, and the other machine isn't. Just thought you should know... No action from anyone is necessary - I'm just advising the folks running the site that there is some kind of latency that may have other, more insidious implications in other areas. Link to comment
+Markwell Posted December 7, 2004 Share Posted December 7, 2004 If I understand correctly, these problems are caused by a delay between the server that actually holds the cache data and the server that dishes up the webpages. Having this delay actually improves website response. If the problem lasted more than an hour, I'd be worried. Link to comment
