+BGunner01
Does anyone remember the name of the cache (a year or two ago) that had a pretty good sized check ($1000?) as a first finder prize? I recall it was out in the desert or somewhere like that and was hidden with a helicopter. My memory's fuzzy, but I want to use it as an "unusual prize" example for an in-house article our company newsletter is writing on GPS technology and geocaching. I've looked and searched using various key words but can't seem to locate it. Will greatly appreciate any info ..... Thanks!! Quote Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
You're thinking of one of the caches hidden by TEAM KFWB GPS. It's the OPERATION HIGH DESERT ADVENTURE NO. 2 cache that I believe you're thinking about. The $1000 prize was claimed by well-known California geocachers, Kevin&Susan. Hope these links help. Maybe someone else can dig up the forum topic about this. Quote Link to comment

+BGunner01
Exactly the one(s) I was looking for. A BIG thank you The Leprechauns and Great Scott! Quote Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
You're quite welcome. And may I add that I was far happier to find one of your limited edition hand-carved signature item GX logo keychains in a cache recently than I would have been if I had chased down a cash prize with a "value" of ten times as many dollars. Very kind of you to say that, but I'd take the cash. Quote Link to comment
