G O Casher
I am wondering if anyone has any experience with CompWest.net. They seem to have good prices, but I am wondering how reputable they are. Example: I have been shopping around for a Garmin 76CS. They have it for $415.00. With the $50 rebate being offered by Garmin, that's $365.00. Best price I have found so far! Quote Link to comment
Team Perrito Blanco
I noticed this price also and would be interested in any experience with this company. Quote Link to comment
NimravusHSSR
I never order from a website that does not list their street address and phone number under "contact us". What are they hiding? Quote Link to comment
VisionQuest220
They list their phone number at the top of the page just below the words "cart content". If it had been a snake, it would have bitten ya! Quote Link to comment
Medic005
They have the Garmin 60cs for $375.00, I'd be interested to know if they are reputable, as well. Quote Link to comment
Team Perrito Blanco
Well, if any of you bothered to "join" them, what are the prices on these currently popular units: Garmin GPSMAP 60C Garmin GPSMAP 60CS Garmin GPSMAP 76C Garmin GPSMAP 76CS I hate when they make you join just to see the prices. +VisionQuest220
I was able to see their prices simply by placing them in the shopping cart which was accomplished by clicking on the "buy" icon in the item listing. Quote Link to comment
Team Perrito Blanco
Oops. You're right. My bad. I was clicking on the "Add to Wishlist" thinking it was "Add to Cart". Thanx! Quote Link to comment
Bruce V.
They may be inflating the shipping cost to make up for there "discount" price. When you add the product to your cart to see the price, use the calculate shipping option to see the cost of shipping. Quote Link to comment
G O Casher
The Garmin 76CS is $415.00. They are in Florida, and the shipping to NY is $9.50, for a total of $424.50. Seems reasonable. Doesn't look like it's a secure site though, so I would probably phone in my order. Garmin GPSMAP 60CGarmin GPSMAP 60CS Garmin GPSMAP 76C 60C = $335 76C = $385 60CS = $375 Quote Link to comment
bikehikecache
I would like to know about the security here too! eTrex Legend C: $255 eTrex Vista C: $309 FYI: The GPS Place has free overnight shipping on the 60cs, being sold at $395. There is free shipping for the color eTrexes(?) and others with reasonable prices across the board. Quote Link to comment
G O Casher
I would like to know about the security here too! Well, I am not a PC expert, but if the site starts out with https instead od http, I believe that means it's a secure site. Looked like The-GPS-Place was secure when ordering. The Compwestusa site did not appear to be secure, although I did not go that far with the order process beause I got a message about some unknown cookie trying to invade my PC, so I just backed off. Probably could call in the order if I buy from them. Quote Link to comment
evergreenhiker!
Didn't find much but looks like compwestusa has been around: http://www.smarter.com/merchant/CompwestUSA-info-478/ Quote Link to comment
