Indiana Cachers Hello !

OK, so Two INDIANA GEOCACHERS dodn't go out this wekend. Even Patrick and I got out for some cache maintenance. no, wait that can't be right. Now I'm really confused. :rolleyes:

 

Rumor mill has it that an Ohio cache machine found 111 ISQ's on one of the longest daylite hour saturdays of the year--so far it's unconfirmed... Stay tuned. :rolleyes:

First of all, that's a great picture. Is that a Jack Russell?

 

Secondly, the captions are fantastic.

 

I am proud to indeed be a smooth-coated "Shortie" Parson Jack Russell Terrier--second only to Border Collies in intelligence and vastly supior to pigs in ALL ways! Torry, however is good enuff to write for Letterman! :ph34r:

 

On a sadder note, one of my more famous cuzins went to the Rainbow Bridge a few days ago:

 

 

LOS ANGELES (June 27) - The scrappy dog known as Eddie on TV's "Frasier" has died.

 

 

The 16-year-old Jack Russell terrier, whose real name was Moose, passed away of old age Thursday at the Los Angeles home of trainer Mathilde Halberg, Halberg told People magazine.

 

 

The canine character Eddie drove Kelsey Grammer 's lead character crazy for 10 years on the show.

 

 

It wasn't all acting on Moose's part, though. He was naturally "extremely mischievous," Halberg said.

 

 

His contribution to the show's and Grammer's success was publicly noted by the actor when he accepted a 1994 Emmy for best actor in a comedy.

 

 

"Most important, Moose, this is for you," Grammer added good naturedly.

 

 

Moose, who also played the older dog Skip in the 2000 film "My Dog Skip," was retired in recent years.

Hello Fellow Cachers!

I have been "hanging around" the boards more often lately and thought I'd say hello. We are in the Indianapolis area and have been caching for a couple of years now. In the past we couldn't get out as much as I wanted because of our girls, who were about 3 and 6 when we started. The younger one hates bugs, hates getting dirty, hates walking, etc. ;) She's getting better though! The older one told me the other day that I have been sucking the fun out of it for her because I just want to race to the caches and not enjoy the parks anymore. (She's right, shame on me-I'll do better! :ph34r: ) We like to take a lot of one day/weekend trips and I wanted to ask the Indiana geocachers where your favorite Indiana caches (or even 1 tank trip locations) are? Thanks!

We like just about any area in INDIANA to go caching . There are lots of excellent caches .

Some very interesting ones can be found in the Huntington / Wabash area with some very senic views ,

and some waterfall caches.

 

Then there are the GEO ISQ caches which tell stories of some of the History of INDIANA people. These can be found just about anywhere in INDIANA you would choose to travel .

 

If you want more challenging puzzle type caches then Ft. Wayne Indiana is the place to go for that ( those guys are wacko with the puzzle caches !)

 

There are also some great caches if you are interested in going a bit futher in Windsor , ONT. Canada !

On the way there you could even grab some in Michigan on your way .

 

Not sure this helps much but I do hope it helps a little bit !

...Then there are the GEO ISQ caches which tell stories of some of the History of INDIANA people. These can be found just about anywhere in INDIANA you would choose to travel...

 

I have been to several ISQ caches. My most recent was this one that led to the grave of Wendell Willkie. He was the only Hoosier native to ever be nominated for the presidency by a major party. He lost to FDR.
