gmehojah
I like using my Legend for mountain bike trail logging as well as geocaching. I would like to be able to take my saved track logs, download them to my pc, and over lay them onto a topo map, but I am just not that technically savvy enough to figure it out myself Can anyone get me started in the right direction? Thanks, Greg Quote Link to comment

+quakemap
To load and analyze track logs try QuakeMap software for PC - easy enough to use, lots of geocacher-oriented features. You will like "color by elevation" feature for your bike trails (color by speed is also there) Happy trails, http://www.quakemap.com - redefining Easy... Quote Link to comment
Tahosa and Sons
Use National Geographics TOPO, you can load from GPS to Map, or from TOPO (map) to GPS. Its well worth the money. Tahosa - Dweller of Mountain Tops. Quote Link to comment
gmehojah
Thanks a bunch fellas. I did try Quakemap, and it really ROCKS!!! Very cool, and it zooms in so nicely. Printouts rock too. Too bad its not also for Mac so I could take my Titanium out for trips and see myself driving around on the map in real time! Thanks for a great program. Greg Quote Link to comment
mapadvisor
Greg, You tried QuakeMap and know how it works. If you have Palm or PocketPC, you can try a companion product MapAdvisor. It takes info from QuakeMap such as tracks, waypoints (including geocaches and descriptions), landmarks, etc. So you can download your favorite maps and additional info from QuakeMap to MapAdvisor and take it to trip. You can make map image with good resolution. I.e. I found several geocaches WITHOUT Gps :-) based on map image and cache description. It was for fun, however... Normally I have to use GPS.
