+Fizzfever
I don't think this is a Gsak error, but when I try to load my waypoints to my gps I get an error message MAPGROTO cannot open 'com1' for write. error was permission denied how do I fix this I have been able to do it in the past (months ago) Using XPpro sp2 (error existed prior to the SP2) and a Sport track map with the new Gsak Link to comment
+raouljan
I don't suppose you added anything like a PDA that might be sitting on that port. Link to comment
+Fizzfever
might be how do I check, and would that give that kind of error? Link to comment
+NightPilot
The hotsync manager for a PDA will take over the port. I know nothing, and desire to know nothing, about Activesync for PPC, so I can't help you if you have one of those. If you have a Palm, right-click on the hotsync manager icon in your tray (assuming Windows) and make sure Local Serial is not checked. Even safer, exit the program entirely. And yes, that can give you the error you're seeing. Link to comment
