aRRKS
aRRKS and DomHeknows have been using a little program called Spoiler Sync to ensure we carry spoiler pictures with us when we’re out paperless caching. Like most folk we rarely use spoiler pictures but it’s useful to know that if there is a spoiler - you’ve got it with you if you’re stuck ! Now that most of the bugs have been fixed and features added, we thought other cachers that are equipped with PDA’s / laptops when out caching might be interested. Rather than make it generally available just yet, we’d like a few volunteers to try it and see what they think. It’s totally freeware with no advertising, popups etc To use the program you will need:- A PC with Windows 98 or later An internet connection (dial-up or broadband) A PDA/laptop or similar which allows .JPG files to be viewed .LOC or .GPX waypoint files Post a note below if you’re interested or contact aRRKS or DomHeknows through the GC website and we’ll send you the url. +The Hokesters
We can give it a try. We use GPXSonar on our iPaq 3850 running Pocket Windows 2002 on ARM processor. Cheers Si & Jo Link to comment
wildlifewriter
I'd be very interested - if the software runs on PalmOS. I have a Garmin iQue 3600 with Cachemate, GrxView, and only a very few pictures of ladies with no clothes on. Link to comment
John Stead
Sounds most useful - email in its way. Ipaq 2210 running MM, GPSSonar, GPSDash and TomTom when I don't want the others - anyone know a foolproof way of running TomTom and MM withaa Bluetooth GPS (Fortuna) at the same time - I've tried GPSGate and it works some of the time but I'm thinking of fitting a permanent reset button! +wigglesworth
Looks like most of the volunteers are PDA based. We use a laptop and would enjoy trying it out. Peter Link to comment

aRRKS
We now have enough volunteers ! Some excellent feedback has already been received and a few minor bugs identified. The program should be generally available in a few weeks (once the first 50 or so of the "rutson" enhancements have been coded ) Keep the email feedback coming folks .... Link to comment
rutson
The program should be generally available in a few weeks (once the first 50 or so of the "rutson" enhancements have been coded ) Hmm.... dunno what you mean! When I get my hands on brand spanking new software, I automatically go into beta testing bend it till it breaks mode, and I'm never really happy till it crashes. Great software though, no time for testing today but expect more emails soon! (Have you fixed the one where images bigger that 1E500 break it ) Link to comment
DomHeknows
i've replied too to people who emailed me - apologies if you got it twice. Yes it will work on the laptop (indeed you need to run it ON a computer - it just downloads the images to a local folder on your pc - its up to you to sync this folder to your pda by whatever means necessary (personally i just save the files to the sd card on the laptop and then put the sd card into the pda) You then use whatever image software (even ie!) on the pda to view the picture/html page Link to comment
