Tacomahunter
Hello all, Here is my issue: When I load a gpx file all is well and the names of the caches come up on the screen. When I click on the name of the cache to get the details, pocket ie opens but the details are not being displayed. The refresh-stop button flashes and the window icon flashes. No file is loaded. I have uninstalled and reinstalled sonar with no luck. It was working fine then all of a sudden...... Quote Link to comment
+LSUFan
Most of the time when I have something go wrong (it was working then it's not) I have to do a soft reset on my pocket pc. Have you tried this yet? Edited November 6, 2004 by LSUFan Quote Link to comment

+ZackJones
Tacomahunter: Please post the waypoint ID for one of the caches you're having trouble with. I'll download the GPX file and try it with my PocketPC. Zack Quote Link to comment
+LSUFan
the soft reset should have done this but let's make sure no other programs are interfering. go to start---settings--system tab at the bottom of screen--memory--running programs tab-----tap stop all. try again after this Quote Link to comment
Tacomahunter
Checked the programs running and shut the one down that was there. Still not loading. none of the caches in my gpx files are working, 1 is: GCHGM9 Quote Link to comment
Tacomahunter
Here is what is in the address bar when I open the details: File://\Program%20Files\GPXSonar\Docs It just sits there and nothing happens. Quote Link to comment
+LSUFan
I can't get mine to do what your's is doing. I would recommend contacting the fellow geocacher author of this program directly who is -=(GEO)=-. Here is a link to his profile page. I'm sure he can help you. http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=82972 Edited November 7, 2004 by LSUFan Quote Link to comment
Tacomahunter
LSUfan: Thanks for your help. I sent him an email. I have a quick question for you. When you open a cache, what is in the browers address? Quote Link to comment
+BruceS
By chance did you open and resave your gpx file with another program before sending it to your pda? If you have opened and resaved with easygps or expertgps the cache details will no longer be in the gpx file. Quote Link to comment
Tacomahunter
I use GSAK and the files are associated with that program, however I have saved them directly from the email to my desktop and then drag them to my PPC. ugggg this is getting frustrating!!! Quote Link to comment
+LSUFan
When you open a cache, what is in the browers address? I have the exact same thing in my browser window as you had. File://\Program%20Files\GPXSonar\Docs I kept playing with all the differnet IE settings trying to get the same symptoms that you are experiencing with no luck. I hope -=(GEO)=- can help you. I sure can't figure it out. Quote Link to comment
Tacomahunter
Well I ended up doing a restore from my backup card (glad I had done this last week!!) and all is better. It must have been a program that I installed that was messing it up. THANKS to all that made suggestions! You guys all rock! Quote Link to comment
+Rockets83
Greetings, I know this post is a little late, but I think I know the application that caused the trouble. In my case I had the exact same problem. I did a hard reboot and reinstalled GPX Sonar, and it worked fine. This smorning the trouble had returned for no apparent reason. Thinking back, the only thing I installed after GPX Sonar was HP Mobile Printing. I was NOT able to uninstall or remove all the components of HP Mobile Printing, so I hard rebooted again and reinstalled GPX sonar. All is well now. HP Mobile Printing is a Free PPC printing application. I thought it was a great adder for nothing, but I'll take GPXSonar over printing. If anyone else can confirm this or if Tacomahunter can verify if he had it installed when he noticed the trouble, I would appreciate hearing back. Rockets83 Quote Link to comment
