+ECO Trekkers
I have a Geko 301 and use one of those holsters which strech around the unit and grip it then clips to your belt. Does that holster interfere with the signal? Quote Link to comment
+TotemLake
No it won't interfere with the signal, but your body doesn't exactly make a great window either. Quote Link to comment
Blue Contrails
It shouldn't interfere as long as it's made of non metallic material. With radio receivers whether it’s GPS, two-way radios, scanners etc. It's always a good idea to place it (or the antenna - if an external one is connected) far away from your body or at least higher up above shoulder level. +wolves shepherd
I regularly carry quite an array of electronics into the field for my job--GPS, FRS Radio, Cel Phone and PDA along with a flashlight, water, etc, etc, etc. I used to carry my GPS on my belt but found I tend to block signal too much. I now carry it on the shoulder strap of my stuff and get much more consistant reception. My FRS and Cel phone are all shoulder-mounted too. Quote Link to comment
+Texan78
The shoulder strap is a good idea. to you attach it to your the strap of a backpack or to you have a special strap for it? Quote Link to comment
