+Dr Bombay and Lulu
Can you talk from a Rino radio to other brands of radios, like Motorola or Midland? Quote Link to comment
+WeightMan
As long as they are on the same FRS channel. Quote Link to comment

+Dr Bombay and Lulu
and the same privacy codes How do u find out if the codes match? What the hech are Privacy Codes anyway??? Quote Link to comment
coolclay
When you are on say channel 10, then some radios have subcodes up to 38. What they do is if two radios on the same channel and subcode you can both hear each other, if someone else is on channel 10 with no subcode, they can hear you but you can't hear them. That is why they are called privacy codes sometimes. All the Rino's have subcodes, but even if you have another radio that doesn't have subcodes, then you can set your rino to subcode 0 and both will be able to hear each other. You can change the codes just like you change the channel. Did I confuse you enough yet? Quote Link to comment
+Dr Bombay and Lulu
No more confusion, thanks to you. I do like that Rino because of the radio and the antenna on the gps side. I don't want to buy 2 of them just to use the radio part of it when I already have a radio. Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
