+splowe
Hi I’ve just been experimenting with downloading .zip versions of my pocket searches. For the last 12 months I’ve been using .gpx versions with GPXView on my Ipaq, but since I’m on holiday next week and want to keep up to date with the caches in the area but will be using email on my Ipaq via BlueTooth / GPRS with my mobile phone I thought I’d try to save some bandwidth and use the .zip versions Whilst they are a obviously a lot smaller file when zipped which is good news in terms of Bandwidth / download size & time – on un-zipping the file I get a invalid character was found in text content error – anyone else had / overcome a similar problem Quote Link to comment
+splowe
Answering my own question, I’ve now sorted it – If I save the attachment and then unzip it via windows explorer the file works OK – If I try to unzip it whilst in Outlook I get the previous error message. I’m not sure if it’s anything to do with ZoneAlarm Firewall as that gives me a warning message if I try to unzip it in Outlook. Hope this helps if you have had similar problems. Quote Link to comment
