Renegade Knight
I'm looking for links to Stash notes that fist specific container sizes like the lid of a 30 cal ammo can. Altoids tin etc. Same with log book templates. The links I had have died. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Ciyt
Couldn't you just measure them and then use Word or something like that that would allow you to work within a certain size? Or was the point that you were asking if there is still someplace on the net that has them already? Quote Link to comment
Renegade Knight
... was the point that you were asking if there is still someplace on the net that has them already? Exactly. Quote Link to comment
Ciyt
Ah, ok. I'm so used to making my own stuff I kind of confused myself...I like the idea though. Quote Link to comment
Sputnik 57
Here is a template for micros, but it isn't container-size specific Quote Link to comment
joefrog
Well, here's my favorite: Joefrog's Micro Log If you can't find one that suits you, you gotta make your own, LOL. I designed this one primarily for a film cannister. If you cut the logs for page 1 right at the lines, it's the perfect width for a film can. The "What's this container" bit is on the second page. Cut both at the same time and you've got exactly what you need. I left a spot so you can write who placed it on the container info page, and the smaller info page (still on page 2) is the perfect size for the inner lid of a standard magnetic key case (I just trim the info close and tape the whole thing). Enjoy -- if that's not what you need, lemme know and I'll make a different size. Quote Link to comment
BeachBuddies
I use a shareware utility called FinePrint. It's software that acts like a printer, but allows you to do a lot of cool stuff to your document before forwarding it to a real printer. For example, you can you combine 2 pages into 1 (or even 4 or 8 into 1). You can repeat an image. You can resize things a bit. You can remove graphics, etc. Anyway, I print out some of the standard inserts, but I print them at different sizes using the 2-to-1, or 4-to-1 setting. Then, I fold them in half and laminate them. It costs about $1 at Staples to have a page laminated. Then I just cut out each "sheet", and include them when I hide a cache. The laminated ones hold up a lot better than just putting a sheet in a zip-lock bag. I think you can get FinePrint at www.fineprint.com Here's a pic: Edited October 21, 2004 by BeachBuddies Quote Link to comment

joefrog
Here's another... Microlog Uhhh... yeah. That's also known as "Joefrog's Micro Log," as it's linked from my site! Quote Link to comment
LSUMonica
Sorry, Joe Frog, I didn't have a name to your site and the link I have is directly to the pdf file. I did try "backing" into the site to give credit but your cache page simply had a "updating" note and no information. The credit is yours for creating it!! Quote Link to comment
joefrog
Okay, I fixed the problem above (but sorry, the old link will no longer work) -- here's the new link: Joefrog's Micro Log (moved to new server) Edited October 21, 2004 by joefrog Quote Link to comment
